We do not allow: Anyone under 18 years old only with the supervision of an adult, Large groups of men (10 or more), Sport tours, Stag Nights, Soccer fans in the city for international or national matches, Crazy drunken behavior, Pets, The use of sleeping bags, The use of drugs, smoking and no alcohol or food is to be consumed in the dorms. In case you break one of these rules, we will have to remove you from the hostel immediately without any refund, also a fine of 200 euros applies in case of smoking in the room.
A booking for over 10 persons is considered a group booking and cannot be booked over the web. To see if you can book a group you can send an email to email@example.com or call the hostel directly.
Note: Read the above carefully because in the event of a false booking, there will be no check in nor will there be a refund!
Reservations in general
Reservations can only be made with a MasterCard or Visa credit card. Maximum stay is 10 days. Longer than 10 days is considered a long-stay and can only be booked in accordance with the hostel availability. Upon arrival you can pay with your credit card/ bankcard or cash (euro’s only).
Prices include VAT and City Tax.
In case of a No-show, your credit card is charged for the 1st night of your stay, the rest of that booking will be cancelled.
All nights of accommodation must be paid for on arrival or no later than 21:00 hrs. the day before.
Check out is before 11 a.m. In case of a late check out we will charge you an additional 20 euro's.
We require a 20 euro's cash deposit for your keycard. In case you lose of forget to return your keycard at the check out, we keep your deposit.
Our staff always does their best to keep every group together in the same room. Most of the time this works out, however we can never guarantee anything.
Reservations by Internet
When you make a reservation on our secure server, your card is charged a 10% deposit online, which is non-refundable. On the day of arrival we will check your credit card number. If the number is not valid for any reason, your reservation will have to be cancelled. For certain dates with high demand (e.g. New Year's Eve) we might request to make a full and non refundable payment in advcance.
When you have made a reservation over the internet and you wish to extend your stay, you have to make a second, separate reservation for the extending date(s). If there is no online availability on the extended dates, it means that all our cyber beds are booked. You can than try to extend your stay when you arrive or you can email us (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Reservations by phone
We don't make bookings over the telephone, we can only answer your inquiry about the availability or other questions.
Reservations by e-mail
When you make a reservation by e-mail you always receive a confirmation number from our staff.
If you do not receive a personal response from us this means your request booking has not been confirmed.
When making an online booking, credit card details are necessary to secure the booking. A 10% deposit will be charged in the card. This 10% deposit will not be refundable.
Please use the following steps for cancelations up to 2 days before your arrival date :

After you have sent us the details explained on that page, you will receive a personal email from our office that confirms your cancellation. If you do not receive this confirmation, your cancellation has not been processed
General cancellations have to be made at least 48 hours before your arrival date. You can do this by e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your booking is cancelled when you receive a personal e-mail reply confirming your cancellation. If you do not receive this confirmation the cancellation is not processed.
When cancelling a booking the 10 % deposit is non-refundable in any case. When you have paid the full amount of the booking online, 90% of the paid amount will be refunded.
Changes in existing bookings
For a change in your existing booking send an email directly to our office. You will than receive a personal email confirming the requested change. If you do not receive this confirmation, check your spamboxyour if you did not received any mail at all, the change has not been processed.
Confirmation of your booking
After making the reservation you will receive an e-mail with your booking details and confirmation number. Make sure you bring this confirmation with you to the hostel that you booked with; otherwise reservation confusion will be at your own responsibility. If you do not receive (check your spambox) this confirmation from us you do not have a booking!
Note: The King Kong Management & Staff reserve the right to refuse accommodation to anyone. The King Kong Hostel reserves the right to refuse a guest or even a group after if, on arrival (and even after check in), management reasonably considers that the guest is under the influence of alcohol or hard-drugs, is unsuitably dressed, is behaving in a threatening, abusive or otherwise unacceptable manner or believes that a false combination booking has been made.
Lost and Found
Items left or found in the hostel will be kept for 10 days (unless of great value). For valuable items please contact us.
Food and Drinks in our Hostel
You can bring your own food and store it in the guest frigde. We ask you to put a label (provided) on your food items with your name, room number and departure date on it. During your stay you are allowed to make your own meals in the guest kitchen. We ask you to clean the kitchen and your dishes after cooking.
You are allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverages to the hostel, however alcoholic drinks above15% are prohibited. Beer and wine are allowed and should be consumed ONLY in a specially herefore designated area in our guest kitchen. Drinking your own beverages is not permitted in the lobby area and the terrace.
Damage or loss
King Kong Hostel is not responsible for damage of loss of your belongings.
