1. facilities
is there a guest kitchen?
Yes, we have a guest kitchen equipped with all appliances ready to use from 11:00 until 23:00. Next to it is our common guest area, this is the area where you can enjoy your own food and drinks. Also, feel free to store your groceries in our fridge, the only rule is – LABEL YOUR FOOD with your name and departure date, you can find labels next to the fridge!
can I do my laundry at the hostel?
Yes, we have a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer for our guests to use, detergent is included, for €4 each (€8 for washing and drying). There are also several laundromats in the area, so if our laundry station is busy, we would be happy to direct you to one nearby.
do you have food/drinking facilities?
Yes! King Kong has its own restaurant & bar. At the moment we don't serve breakfast & lunch, This will be available soon. Our bar is open from 12:00 till 00:00 and coffee and cakes are available from 8:00. We also Serve Pizza from Wednesday till Sunday from 15:00 till 22:00.
Where do i leave my belongings?
All our bunkbeds have their own storage box underneath the beds large enough to fit a backpack along with other smaller belongings to ensure security. You will need to bring your own padlock for the lockers or you can purchase one at the reception for €5.
Do you have internet access?
Yes! There is free wi-fi available throughout the entire hostel!
Where are the showers/bathrooms?
All our rooms/dorms have en-suite bathrooms. In the loft the bathrooms are shared with the other guests that are staying in the loft. There you can find two bathrooms, one for women and one for men, however all other rooms have mixed bathroom facilities. Hair dryers are available in all rooms.
Do you have parking facilities?
Unfortunately we do not have our own parking facilities. We can however redirect you to the best options!
Parking Westblaak APCOA (approx. €30,- a day) and Park Bee (requires online booking, €15-€25 a day) are the best options to park your car at. Both options are at walking distance.
The nearest P+R option is at the Kralingse Zoom parking, this is €17,50 a day and requires 10 minutes by metro to metrostop Beurs
Do you have an elevator?
No, we do not have an elevator but we do have lots of stairs. Keep that in mind and travel light!
2. rules
Until what time can i checkin/checkout?
Check-in time starts at 15:00, if you arrive earlier you are welcome to leave your luggage with us and explore while waiting to check-in. If you arrive after 23:00, please let us know in advance through mail or call.
Check-out time is until 11:00 in the morning, if you need extra time to check out please let us know at the reception.
Do you have a curfew?
We do not have a curfew. We have 24/7 reception and night security staff that will be able to let our guests into the hostel, so coming back in the late hours is no problem at all. However, please be considerate of our other guests when coming back late at night!
Can I smoke in my room?
We have a non-smoking policy indoors. Anyone caught smoking inside the hostel will be fined. The fine can go up to €200, depending on the circumstances. However, you are welcome to enjoy a cigarette on our front terrace.
do you have an age restriction?
Yes, guests who are at the age of 16 & 17 can stay in a shared dorm if they are accompanied by a guardian who is above the age of 18. As for guests under age of 16, they are welcome to stay accompanied by a guardian AND only in private room options.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in our hostel. However they are always welcome to have a drink on our spacious terrace!
3. Services
Are linens and towels included in the price?
Yes! We provide every guests with clean bed linen and towels, we just ask you to bring it back down at check-out! Please keep in mind that sleeping bags are strictly not allowed.
How can I make a group booking?
We consider groups of 12 or more guests a group booking. However, if you are a smaller group of friends or family you can also get your own private room, such as the 4 persons dorm or a 6 persons dorm, in this case you can make a straight booking via our website.
