Ideal for couples coming for a weekend getaway, a family trip or small group of friends wanting to experience a hostel atmosphere. Booking a private room means you have privacy in your room but are still able to meet other guests in our common areas!

When you enter the 3rd floor, you enter a common area decorated with retro gym accessories and old school sports-themed photographs. Connected to this area are 4 stylish dormitories, which don’t have actual doors but black silky curtains. The bathroom is shared and is located across the hall, separated for ladies and gentlemen. This is the cheapest option at the King Kong hostel and ideal for budget conscious travelers who enjoy meeting like-minded people. Check out our ‘Virtual Tour’ to get a perfect picture! The rooms on the loft are separated in 3 times 8 person dorms and 1 time a 16-bed
dorm, all enclosed with black silky curtains.

the loft - the lovers loft

The Lovers Loft is not the biggest room you can get at King Kong but by far the most unique space you will find in any hostel. Going through the loft area on our third floor, you will find a wooden ladder, on which you can climb up to a higher level with a double bed. We used a curtain, instead of a door, to create a sense of privacy. Up here you will have a great view of Rotterdam’s skyline. This small space gives you the feeling of more privacy but still lets you enjoy the atmosphere of backpacking. It’s supposed to be a 2 person love room, but hey… it’s also suitable for someone traveling alone, ideal for short stays and young, open-minded guests, who’ve mastered the art of traveling light.
